On December 1st, Dr. Evelyn St George will retire from Gloucester & Almonte Family Optometrists after 33 years with the clinics.
Dr. Evelyn and her husband Dr. Andre St George have overseen the clinics together since she first joined the practice in 1988, and her retirement is the beginning of a new era.
Dr. Brad Perras, who has been an important member of our team of four eye doctors since 2016, will take over the practice with his wife, Dr. Teresa Stokes, late in 2021, continuing the tradition of this husband and wife led practice. We are so pleased that all of our patients will continue to receive the same level of exceptional care by our very committed team.
Dr. Evelyn’s post-retirement plan is to be able to devote time to her family, including welcoming a first grandchild into the St George family. She’s excited and grateful for this next phase in her life. Dr. Andre plans to continue working with the clinics for the next year or two before joining Dr. Evelyn in retirement. This phased approach to their joint retirement will help with a seamless transition at both clinics.
All existing patients of Dr. Evelyn’s will be seen by Dr. Teresa, who is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has been providing eyecare in Ottawa for many years. We want our patients to know that you will be in excellent hands with Dr. Teresa. Please click here for her complete bio.
We’d like to extend thanks to all of our patients for your continued patronage of our clinics and for your assistance as we all navigated the complications of appointments during the pandemic.
